Requirements

Admission requirements to the International Master Course of Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology are the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (180 credit points) or Diploma or
    1. Staatsexamen (for German applicants) in (Bio-)Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or Pharmacy
  • final marks at least "good" (better than 2.5 in the German grading system)
  • The  knowledge of the English language must correspond to the upper level of  B2 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for  Languages (CEFR). Proof of English language skills in the upper range B2  within the meaning of the study and examination regulations is provided  by the following certificates:
  • Unicert II
  • TOEFL (iBT (at least 90/120)
  • CBT (235/300), or PBT (580/677)
  • IELTS (at least band 6.5)
  • Cambridge Certificate (at least 173/230)
  • or  an equivalent (inter)nationally recognized language certificate (at  least 75% of the maximum achievement achievable in the respective  certificate).

The proof of language  proficiency is also considered to have been provided if native English  language skills are proven. English language proficiency attested by  school and/or university degrees from Australia, Ireland, Canada  (excluding Quebec), New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom and the USA  are considered native speakers within the meaning of the Study and  Examination Regulations

Chinese applicants must provide the ORIGINAL certificate of APS in Beijing.
